Rescue Officer
David
has served for 5 years in the SES. Recently appointed as Deputy Local Controller
having been a team leader for 4 years. He has been involved in
a number of operations from Ashfield/Leichhardt through to the
Blue Mountains, as well assisting in operations in other
divisions.
David joined the SES after being asked to assist in the
looking for a missing person during a canyoning trip 5 years
ago. He returned to Sydney and joined up within weeks.

What
does rescue do?
All NSW SES training
is VETAB approved, and forms part of a National competency package
in Public Safety. These skills are recognised across Australia by
all organisations who are using this system of training.
We train at Regatta
Rd on Wednesday nights starting at 1930hrs (730pm).
Occasional weekend
training is conducted, either in the Canada Bay area or outside
Sydney, when required for specific courses.
We
